FBI investigates plot to kill Jon Cryer

TMZ is reporting that the FBI is currently investigating an alleged plot to kill Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer. Cryer, who is currently involved in a nasty custody dispute with his ex-wife, contacted the authorities because he thought somebody was trying to kill him.

Cryer informed authorities of the perceived threat last Friday, as he believed his ex-wife may have hired a hitman to kill him. The FBI's investigation has not yet identified any suspects. The agency has not commented on the case.

Security has been stepped up at the Two and a Half Men set, while last week's episode was shot without a live audience, TMZ reports. TMZ also understands this week's episode will be shot without an audience, but say that decision was for creative, not security reasons.
