Sheen 'threatened to kill wife'

Charlie Sheen put a knife to his wife's throat and threatened to kill her, she told police.

Sheen allegedly turned violent after Brooke Mueller asked him for a divorce. Mueller alleges the actor held her down on a bed, telling her she should fear for her life. Sheen has denied those allegations.

The Two and a Half Men star said they had both slapped each other's arms and broken a pair of eyeglasses. He said he became upset over the threat of divorce 'because of prior experiences'.

Sheen and Mueller married last year. She gave birth to twin boys in March of this year.

Prosecutors say they will not decide whether to file charges against Sheen until February.
