2010 Emmy Nominations

The 2010 Emmy Nominations were announced today in Hollywood. Charlie Sheen was not nominated for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for the first time since 2006.

Jon Cryer was nominated for Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for the fifth time. Cryer won the award at last year's ceremony for his work as Alan Harper. Jon Cryer goes up against Chris Colfer (Glee), Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet and Ty Burrell (all Modern Family).

Holland Taylor was nominated for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as Evelyn Harper. She was last nominated for the award in 2008 and has been nominated for the award three times in total. She faces competition from Jane Lynch (Glee), Kristen Wiig (Saturday Night Live), Jane Krakowski (30 Rock), and Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara (both Modern Family).

Two and a Half Men also picked up nominations for Outstanding Cinematography for a Half-Hour Series, Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour) and Animation.

Jane Lynch was nominated for an Emmy for her appearance in the episode 818-JKLPUZO as Dr. Linda Freeman. Jane Lynch was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Sue Sylvester on Glee.

Season 7 DVD coming to UK

Two and a Half Men: Season 7 will be released on DVD in the United Kingdom on October 4th, 2010. The UK edition is likely to feature similar cover art to the US edition, four discs instead of three and the same bonus features. It can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.co.uk.

The DVD will also be released in Australia on October 13th, according to a listing on DVDCrave.com. The DVD is set to be released in the United States on September 21st and can be pre-ordered now from Amazon.com.

Season 7 DVD package art revealed

Warner Home Video revealed the details of the forthcoming Two and a Half Men: Season 7 DVD yesterday, but package art for the DVD wasn't yet available. Amazon.com today uploaded cover-art for the DVD.

The artwork hasn't been revealed by Warner so it might change. The cover can be seen in higher quality at Amazon.com. You can pre-order the DVD today for just $28.99 at Amazon.com.

Season 7 DVD Announced

Warner Home Video has announced the details for the upcoming release of Two and a Half Men: Season 7 on DVD, TVShowsOnDVD.com reports. The DVD will hit stores in the United States & Canada on September 21st.

The twenty two episodes from the 2009/10 season will presented across 3 discs. Bonus features are a gag reel and a "Ghosts of Charlie's Girlfriends Past" featurette. The cover-art for the set is not yet available.

The DVD looks set to be released in Australia later this year, although retailers are currently reporting conflicting release dates. No date has yet been revealed for a UK release. Comedy Central UK isn't airing the second half of Season 7 until the Autumn, meaning it's unlikely the DVD will be out before then.

The seventh season finale of Two and a Half Men bowed out strongly last night with the show finishing first in all key metrics. The final episode of the season was watched by 15.37 million people and scored a 5.0/13 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic.

The Big Bang Theory followed Two and a Half Men and built on Men's performance in the adults 18-49 demographic. Bang's timeslot will be taken by another Chuck Lorre show, Mike & Molly, in the fall when Bang moves to Thursdays at 8/7c.

Two and a Half Men finished a strong second last night behind ABC behemoth Dancing with the Stars. Lead-out The Big Bang Theory understandably built on Men's audience when it followed against lighter competition.

Two and a Half Men was watched by 13.17 million people and finished second. The show scored a 4.4/11 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic, also placing second.

The Big Bang Theory followed Men without ABC's Dancing with the Stars to compete with. Big Bang was watched by 14.75m people and was the most popular show of the night with adults 18-49.

Episode 7.20 Ratings

Last night's episode finished first in all key demographics and placed a strong second in total viewers. The show beat ABC behemoth Dancing with the Stars in adult demos and finished second to the show in households and total viewers.

Two and a Half Men was watched by 13.86m people and scored an 8.5/13 rating in households. The show finished first in adults 18-49 with a 4.6/12 rating, adults 25-54 with a 5.9/14 rating, and adults 18-34 with a 3.1/09 rating.

The Big Bang Theory continued to build on Men in the adult demos. It scored a 5.3/13 rating with adults 18-49, scoring the highest ratings in the adult demos of the night.

CBS Announces Season Finale

CBS has announced the details of the season finale, airing May 24th. The title of the episode hasn't yet been revealed. Stacy Keach and John Amos return.

Jake becomes Charlie's driver after Charlie has his license suspended, and to Charlie's chagrin, Alan makes plans to attend Chelsea's birthday party, on the seventh season finale of TWO AND A HALF MEN, Monday, May 24 (9:00-9:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

CBS Announces Episode 7.21

CBS has announced the details of episode 7.21, "Gumby with a Pokey ", which will air May 17th. The episode features a plethora of returning guest stars and a special appearance by ZZ Top.

"Gumby with a Pokey" - Alan and Jake go on a road trip while Charlie is visited by the ghosts of girlfriends past, on TWO AND A HALF MEN, Monday, May 17 (9:00-9:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. ZZ Top makes a special appearance as themselves. Martin Mull returns as Charlie's pharmacist. Katherine Lanasa, Ming Na, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Rachel Cannon, Aja Evans, Magdalena Holland, Rebecca McFarland, Katy Mixon, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe, Missi Pyle and Rena Sofer return as Charlie's ex-girlfriends.

Last night's episode finished second against tough competition from ABC's Dancing with the Stars. The ratings were noticeably down from the previous showing, clocking around 900,000 fewer viewers. This is likely down to a daylight savings and longer, brighter evenings leading to fewer people watching TV.

Two and a Half Men was watched by 13.46 million people, placing it second with a 9.4/14 rating in households. The show set a 4.6/12 rating in adults 18-49, also finishing second. The Big Bang Theory built on Men to set a 5.0/13 rating in the demographic.
